The speed for non-traffic messages was either 10, 12 or 15 WPM. The traffic was always 15 WPM. Zero is represented by T (single dash).
All M03 schedules were weekly, followed year-round UTC (no DST adjustments), and used three different frequencies depending on the month - one for November to February, one for May to August and one for the remaining months. For most of the time there was no traffic, and one random week of the month a message was sent that always consisted of 30-38 groups. Those always had a repeat transmission in the same week.
In the last years of operation, each schedule was preceded by a digital transmission that delivered the same message that would later be sent in Morse, on a nearby frequency.
