It has been a busy day for the morse & oddity oriented
members of Priyom today, noting transmissions from all different
kinds of morse station - several of which are quite odd.
The first one to mention is good old M18, a Russian operated time station which gives a
continuous update of the current time for several timezones.
The mostly observed timezone for M18 is MSK (Moscow time) but in the current
transmission which I first observed last night (23rd
Nov.) on 3803k...

Hello number station and shortwave fans!
Due to internal commitments we have had trouble updating
schedules for November and December resulting in incorrect times,
frequencies and low volume. Now that is fixed and the calendar has
been updated for the end of November and all the way up
until December 31st. All information has been taken from
ENIGMA 2000 November newsletter issue 73 with their expressed
permission as per agreements betweenthe two groups.
I also have included...

Edit 11.10.2012 1405z, typo "ВЕРАМИТИН" corrected to
"ВЕРАМИТАН".
Pip sent a message today (10.10.2012) at 1608z on 3756 kHz using
a new format.
All the previous messages Pip has sent have been either Для
(Dlya) type propagation test messages or "real" messages with a
8С1Щ (8S1Shch) call sign.
The new message is addressed to 3 call signs, two of them are
familiar from the 80 call sign rotation pool that is used for the
Для (Dlya) propagation test messages, and the remaining one is just
on...

Hey guys.
Today I spent 2 hours downloading files from my
old archive, converting them to Ogg Vorbis and renaming them to
match Priyom file naming scheme.
The package contains recordings dating back to August 23, 2010
(NAIMINA message) to February 5, 2011, i.e. when I stopped working
on it and a study page* in favour of Priyom, which was then a
completely new site.
It's a big file (71.2 MB), so I could not upload it here, but
you can
download it from RapidShare.
I uploaded it solely for...

Hello shortwave fans.
If your a regular visitor to Priyom.org or Enigma 2000 websites,
you may have noticed a recent discussion regarding copyright
issues.
The groups have been in communication regarding this matter and
have come to an agreement of current and future use of Enigma 2000
material.
The Priyom team would like to offer our sincerest apologies for
our inappropriate use of Enigma 2000 material without seeking
permission first. This was gross mistake on our part, one we hope
not ...

On 4th of May 2012 i tuned to 16114 KHz at 1915 UTC, awaiting a
XPA2 Sked, i listened to a week ago. Initially i was able to see
and hear them tuning the transmitter. Sked was awaited at 1920 UTC.
When the OP finished tuning to the highest power output, he keyed a
test-tone. After the test-tone the following noise (see picture and
audio) appeared until the sked starts. You can here the qsb on the
noise and see, that it is nearly covering the USB Channel.
The second sked, so far found, is 14...

Update: Fourth message from March 26
added.
Pip, a station that normally only sends Dlya (Для) propagation
test messages and short messages with format similar to that of the
Buzzer (S28) has been caught sending weather reports, one per day,
in four successive days.

There's been a demand for up-to-date information on the
UVB-76/UZB-76/Buzzer/S28. Current information available online is
either false, out-of-date or just too scattered to make easily
sense of, so I took it upon myself to write a little primer for
Buzzer beginners and enthusiasts alike. In the Buzzer Primer I
attempt to present the current facts, credible theories and discuss
the common misconceptions (UVB-76 spelling, "Dead Hand" systems,
etc) so we can finally get over them.
So, presente...
