History
E23 was first reported in April 1998, replacing G02.[2] It held broadcasts for 3 weeks each month, with all transmissions within a single week carrying the same set of 3 messages. The schedule was as follows:
Day | Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
UTC | kHz | UTC | kHz | UTC | kHz | UTC | kHz | |
Monday Wednesday Thursday |
09:57 | 6507 | 07:57 | 4832 | 07:57 | 5340 | ||
11:57 | 8188 | 09:57 | 6200 | 09:57 | 8188 | |||
12:57 | 5340 | 11:57 | 8188 | 11:57 | 7250 | |||
12:57 | 6507 |
"Week 1" initially began on the 1st Saturday of the month, like in G02. In September 2000, this was changed to the 1st Monday of the month.[3] From December 2004 onwards, E23 was often reported as starting earlier than H+57.[1]
