Tunisia
The Tunisian diplomatic network uses 2G ALE (MIL-STD-188-141A) for link establishment, PACTOR-II for data transmission, and Morse code for sporadic operator chatter. The PACTOR modems are configured to use a non-standard CRC XOR: 0x3DB5.
The data transmitted by the stations consists of MAPI email messages. The format is binary, but the message class ("IPM.Note"), the sender and the recipient addresses ("DEFAULT@#HFARQ#..."), and the UTC+1 timestamp (e.g. "20200516092137:DEFAULT@") appear as ASCII strings. The message contents themselves are encrypted.
